I love the street art culture. In my travels, I prefer to spend most of my time listening to street musicians, watching mime artists do their thing, and if they will let me, jam with some.
One day last summer, after a quick breakfast of soupy noodles accompanied by some awesome live saxophone tunes, I walked around the streets of Helsinki taking in the sights and sounds. That’s when I spotted Darth.
As a tourist or any regular person on earth, I whipped out my camera and promptly started taking pictures of the guy dressed like Darth Vader.
That’s when Darth pointed at me. Very soon that pointing escalated to flailing arms and a whole string of Finnish words. As he stepped down and started running toward me, I bolted the other way leaving my husband alone on the street wondering why a guy dressed like Darth Vader is chasing me down the streets of Helsinki while I kept screaming sorry, I’m so sorry!
